Before working at Adequita, Javier developed extensive experience in corporate accounting and financial analysis on debt, treasury and tax planning.
For three years, he acted as a financial auditor for PriceWaterhouseCoopers based in Madrid, focusing on public construction and real estate companies. He developed his expertise in statutory audit under different GAAP/GAAS standards such as IFRS, US or Local GAAP, and SOX Controls review or audit work subject to PCAOB and CNMV (Spanish SEC) requirements.
Afterwards, for a period of four years, he acted as a financial controller for Redvco Services Iberia, a €500 million commercial real estate company focused on shopping centres, retail parks and high street properties in Spain and Portugal, supervising the corporate finance department. During his role Javier specialized in obtaining and monitoring senior syndicated debt, and structuring of complex tax planning in areas such as derivatives and taxation in real estate transactions.
Javier received a BSc degree from the University of San Pablo de Montpríncipe, a joint degree in Law and Business Administration, and a MSc in Accounting and Auditing from the College of Financial Studies (CUNEF), in Madrid, Spain.
Javier was born and raised in Madrid.
